Running Videos on iPod Nano!

After you follow my tutorial to install iPod Linux on your Nano , it's time to make it run videos. The process is very simple and you will only need a few steps!

Download MoPiD and unzip it to the folder that you find convenient.
Turn the MoPiD.exe. A DOS screen should appear asking which iPod you're using. Enter nano and press enter. Select the video file you want to encode in the window that opens. Confirm in the window of DOS file. Then type the name of the file you want to save with a. Avi at the end (Ex. movie.avi). Press enter again on the screen in Command Prompt. Choose a frame rate (enter 15 * only if you want to test other settings then post the results here). After conversion, throw him to the root folder of the iPod, or create a subdirectory of your choice (like Videos).

One detail: the video does not often come out with synchronized audio. To solve the problem, create a text file any, leave it empty and rename it to limpar.avi. Play this file limpar.avi the same folder as your videos.

. To run: go to Podzilla (Linux), go to File Browser> hp. The hp folder is the root directory of your iPod in Windows. Locate your video folder, run the file limpar.avi and then the video file you want. Sometimes you can see the following error message: AUDIO BUFFER IS NULL. If this happens, simply restart your iPod (MENU + SELECT), reenter the podzilla and follow the instructions to run videos.

Remember, always turn the limpar.avi file before running a video!

Then put the iDoom teach you how your Nano!

Cheers!

I opened my iPod!

Well ... Today I set my greatest folly: I opened my iPod Nano!
Why? Well, I bought an iPod with barely touch the free market . When I bought, I visited a number of forums related to problems on the iPod and tried to fix it via software in several ways. When formatted using HP Format Utility, I could let it run perfectly (after using the iPod Restore, and reset the iPod (MENU + SELECT)). After several weeks the problem returned! I was angry and decided to open, since the problem was, of course, hardware. I searched the Internet how to open an iPod and found some tips. The problem is that people had the habit of opening all the major iPods (1G, 2G, Photo ...) but nobody was talking specifically about the Nano. I did a refined search to see if it found a way to open the iPod Nano and found a video showing a man opening the Nano, but the device failed to work . I spent the weekend wondering whether he should risk it. I chose to open!
I had a great time with a credit card and a screwdriver separating the front from the bottom of the iPod, and unscrew the inner plate with tweezers, pushed the cable into the contact hole. The result?? My iPod is pristine!
It was a pity that only remembered shooting at closing time ... But for people who have the curiosity to see an iPod Nano running after opening, check out my video !

Who has not in the mood to watch the video, here are two pictures showing my iPod open:

* For people who are desperate because your iPod is fully scratched, I am trying a method of polishing it! When I have free time I will test and document! I'll post later here! Advance that has already managed to get some scratches, but you need enough time to remove everything!

Regards to all!
